Any sort of scene in the area? I see scattered posts in other threads about it, but nothing really describing the scene as a whole. Any good breweries, bars or bottle shops?
I think Birds Fly South is best brewery there. For bottle shops Greenville beer exchange and Community Tap.
Couple of local Breweries, Thomas Creek, Brewery 85, Birds Fly South, Quest, Swamp Rabbit, 13 Stripes, and a new one, Rail Line, I think it is. All of the ones I've tried have been unimpressive (Birds Fly South seems to speciallize in Wild Ales and Saisons, not my thing, but people seem to like it). Couple of good bottles shops, I work PT at Total Wine, so I don't go to them often. Couple of good Craft Bars (Southern Growl, What's on Tap, Community Tap). There's a couple of small breweries downtown that I haven't visited
Definitely a smaller scene but it is growing. Bars: Barleys Trappe Door Southern Growl (Greer) Bottle Shops: GBX (on site draft) Community Tap (on site draft) Crafted Beer Store (on si Greens Total Wine Breweries: Birds Fly South Upstate Craft Beer Co others, but not worth your time
