Staying in GV tonight at a friends. What bottle shops and bars are close to here? Going to Union Square for dinner tonight so will check out WF. Luckily, apartment is right next to blind tiger.
The two bottle shops I can think of are Milk and Hops on Broadway, between 9th and 10th St that is just south of Union Square or Carmine Street which, unsurprisingly (lol), is on Carmine just off Bleecker (West Village) that's a block away from Blind Tiger. Fools Gold is a little south of the Village, bar-wise, but it's not that far and their taps are usually stellar. I'd add Jimmy's 43 and Cooper's to the list to if you feel like venturing east.
+1 to Milk and Hops Also Murray's Cheese is worth checking out if you're in the area. Carmine's is pretty good though check expiration dates as they keep EVERYTHING on the shelves in the worst way possible. Arts and Crafts is another great nearby bar.
Thanks guys. Went to Carmine St yesterday afternoon after Generation Records to look for double barrel jesus but they didnt have any. Had a few beers on tap and picked up some stuff to go. Nice location. I'v been to Milk and hops chelsea before, but never got to the one on Broadway before. Went down to Fools Gold to watch the Islanders lose and had so many good fucking beers. Ended at Blind Tiger (I think?). Good day.
Yea went to murrays and got some reading cheese from VT. Had it at Gingerman last month and been craving it ever since.
