There is a speaking event this Friday in Round Lake. Anybody who wants to go, there is a chance to get in for free http://www.facebook.com/pages/Greg-...e-Beach-Cultural-Civic-Center/194721527308978
He will also be at our Lincoln Park store on Saturday signing bottles and hanging out. http://www.binnys.com/blogs/post.cfm/meet-and-greet-with-greg-koch.
Thanks for that. 27 bucks for "snacks" and 5 samples, huh? And why Round Lake, I wonder? Not exactly a hotbed of craft brewing.
I saw a similar poster at Antioch Liquors this afternoon and it showed the same info on that poster, yeah -- could'a been old too, but 25, 27 bones? And 35 at the door? Round Lake is pretty out of the way for most of the Chicago 'burbs, and that's a lotta scratch to drop. Maybe I'll show up and dicker my way in for a fin when they see no one shows!
RLB does seem an odd place for this event, but I'm glad Stone's showing some love for the far northern suburbs. Maybe he'll bring some barrel aged IRS to share.....
I agree, and this is one of my favorite pictures of him. I bet he'd think we're all prats for obsessing over beer, but I'd still share a pint with him.
still plenty of stuff left at the gurnee location, just the ba stout and 120 minute are out. and maybe the dry hopped cali belguique.
