After a years worth of growler fills at the brewery they have finally canned their third anniversary IPL, coined, Great Ketch. Spotted at two liquor stores around RI so far, and have snagged a twelve pack. Any thoughts on this one? I think it is one of the best beers they have put out. Pours a beautiful clear golden color, a nice escape from the usual turbid unfiltering (which im not apposed to). Great hop profile and a clean finish. Grab it if you see it...and if you have had it, what's your thoughts?
Great beer. Very crisp as it is a lager. There's a very nice hop punch that reminds me that it is indeed an IPL. I might like it more than Captain's Daughter.
yeah, im kind of in agreement with you on that one. but you, i might like it more...because a definitive yes is painful to say and I don't want to hurt the daughters feelings.
I agree. And also, I doubt I'll ever see the two in the same place at the same time unless one of them is older.
Love it. Had it at the Mohegan Sun Brewfest earlier this year and I just stood by the Grey Sail booth and kept refilling my tasting glass with it. Hopefully it hits CT distro.
