Pretty average. Nothing horribly wrong, but nothing really interesting either. I've had the 4 most reviewed on this site and the reviews strike me as fairly accurate.

There's just way too many breweries out there nowadays, and IMO the bar is being set higher than what Grey Sail is doing.

IMO, the best brewery in RI. I haven't been able to obtain the Flanders Red yet (they made an O'fest too, right?) but I keep going back to their other offerings. Flying Jenny is top-notch and I'm not a Wit fan but I'm really digging Hazy Day. The Hurricane Sandy Relief Blonde was very drinkable and great for the community

Completely agree. Best in RI, granted we don't have that many, and Revival is technically made in Connecticut. Foolproof is growing way bigger than Grey Sail is, but judging by their brewery space & equipment, along with their promotion, it's definitely a reflection on how much money they have behind them.

I like Grey Sail, the Flying Jenny is good fresh but sits around in stores. The Flanders was a drain pour unfortunately.

I tried the Flying Jenny, Cream Ale and Stargazer Imp Stout before...they were all decent but the Flying Jenny was probably the best I suppose.

Had FJ for the first time this past weekend down in Orleans... and will surely keep it in rotation through the summer. Great easy brew for scoot around the bay on my J... but could imagine it being better on draft.

I stand corrected FJ is a damn good beer. Is it an Extra because its a little more hoppy?

I really like Flying Jenny, and thought Flagship hit the spot. Thought the Leaning Chimney was good also.

Grey Sail is a good brewery. Their flagship ale is a great summer beer. I love it at the beach. I really enjoyed Leaning Chimney as well. Flying Jenny is solid. I haven't had the others.

Pick up some Hazy Day...a nice dry, tart Wit that's not overpowering in the spice department.

Is that one in 4 packs of tallboys or sixers of 12 oz?

Hazy Day is 16oz Tallboys. Good stuff, great summer beer!

I thought the taste of hazy day was pretty good but it had a weird nose to it, that threw a lot of people off when they were there for tastings at mews pint night.

Flying Jenny has been one of my regulars for a while now. It's a real solid local hoppy beer...mmm. I've been enjoying their seasonals as well, and can't wait to pick up their autumn winds in cans in the fall!

Also haven't seen their flanders red in bottles in stores yet...anywhere near NK?

I tried the Flying Jenny under the impression that it was an IPA (vice an EPA...ummm, pretty damn close), and while I thought it was OK, I didn't walk away from it with the same vibe that seems prevalent here. We have it on tap on base, so I will definitely be trying it again. Not at all saying I thought it was bad, I just wasn't particularly impressed with round one.
