I saw a thread about how you got hooked on crafts and I remember I had a Grimbergen...the dubbel style I forget the name now.
Anwyays, seems like you can't get it in the states anymore.
I'm just wondering if anyone else noticed that or still gets it. Man I miss that beer.

I know it's available here in Minnesota. We have the Dubbel and the Blonde at the store.

We can get it in Missouri. The Blond and the Dubbel. There is even a place were I go often that has the Dubbel on draft. The Dubbel is one of my favorite beers.

Grimbergen is a Carlsberg brand, brewed by their breweries Alken-Maes in Belgium and Kronenbourg in France.

The US import rights last year switched from Carlsberg's US importer "Beverage Alliance" to St. Killian Importing when the latter bought the former. When that occurs, local distribution is sometimes disrupted. Contact St. Killian to find out who your local wholesaler is and take it from there.

I have the Dubbel in my fridge right now, bought outside of Chicago. So yeah, it's available in the US, maybe just not in your area.

Grimbergen Dubbel was one of my gateway beers. My favorite part was when I found a store in Brussels selling it.

Here in MN - 6 Pack was $13ish.
    Brussels - 8 Pack was 2 Euro.

    Lol

Grimbergen - sounds too much like a bad German hamburger.

Easy in so-cal, very underrated beer. Very cheap for a Belgian import. Solid dubbel, classic interpretation of the style.

Its here where I live, both the blond&thedubbel but for what it is its waaaayyy too expensive, a 6pk of each cost about $14-$15. Might asd well go for something cheaper like an Affligem blond or similar

    Where in FL?
I'm in S. Florida near Lauderdale and my shops stopped stocking it.

Yeah the Dubbel was my favorite. I was really into Belgians when I first started getting better beer, now it seems I'm getting more American brews and less imports.
I'd love to grab a case of Grimbergen for nostalgic purposes though.
