Light body, but with loads of roasted malt. A very pleasant reprieve from the usual. I love centennial, and my taste of Hyperfocus was excellent, but just had to go with the Schwarzbier.

I've certainly loved all the IPAs that have come out of their space, but this most recent batch of dreamweapon really takes me back to old grimm cans (and while a pain in the ass, the chase was kind of fun). It has that orange marmalade nose followed by a sweet, candied fruit, gummi taste and a cleansing bitterness.

Seems a little steep for a session IPA

I was surprised to find a 4-pack of Lithos in the wild. Killer, but IA Winter edges it out jussttt a bit for me.

Found Waffling on the shelf too.

Tbh I can't remember the last time I was so let down in a beer. I love Kane and have thoroughly enjoyed all the Grimm I've had (Galaxy pop was a bit ehhhh); but this beer fell flat. Kane generally doesn't a great job of pulling maple out in beer (Brunch series) and I can't pick it up here, nor vanilla nor walnuts. Just boozy.

Yeah, I haven't pulled the trigger yet because I see that 3.89 on Untappd, and while I don't want Untappd to determine all my drinking.... a 3.89 is really low for a trendy brewery.

I did pick up some Gullwing Door tonight and I wish I knew ahead of time which of their IPA bodies it was going to have. This one is a little thicker and a little sweeter in a way I would've avoided. Some of the IPAs have a lighter, more straw colored body that I really enjoy. They're usually really good with pictures but there weirdly aren't any of Gullwing Door!

Edit: Grimm is also always good about having the beers on tap, but on a prime time Saturday I'm not looking to deal with that.

If you have it, I'd recommend drinking it sooner rather than later. Whatever is left of the adjuncts will only fade out.

Fwiw I drank it BEFORE I checked untappd and was so happy to see it at the liquor store when I was picking up some boat, so if anything I was coming in on this a bit high.

I wasn't clear, but I haven't picked it up even though it was still in the taproom tonight and I was initially super excited for the collab.

I hate to admit it, but I do check untappd to see how people are rating recent releases I miss. Based on the hops and adjuncts, I'll figure out how willing I am to take a chance... 4.1 IPA with Columbus and Simcoe? Heck yeah, let's do it!!!

Dammit. I just bought a bottle of Waffling at my local because 1) it was there and 2) it was a good price. I guess I should drink it ASAP, huh?

All I really want is Double Negative in 4-packs, but I've tried most of their stouts at the brewery. Sumi Snow was an obvious standout, and I'd love more beers with that base. I didn't feel like anything else was below expectations. The fruit in Jam Don't Shake didn't really work for me from either brewery. I had Waffling and Cinnamon Babka back to back, and thought they were as good as each other despite Untappd reviews(though maybe the abv was the difference for some people)

I do the same:flushed:, but I can do a decent job of not letting it effect my opinion most of the time. What I mostly find interesting/baffling is the lack of consistency in people's ratings. 3 for this Finback ipa and 4.5 for this Grimm ipa (that are both very good), the general bump some hype breweries get(Grimm probably included), the untappdbrain effect early high or low reviews have on a score, or my personal favorite "best beer I've ever had...4.5"

hi all! would love to hear your feedback and general excitement level around Classic Rewind, as we're really enjoying it at the brewery and considering whether it would work well as a series.
