Do you mean something else other than Edward? Edward's a pale ale, not a saison, and not bottled. Perhaps you meant Arthur or Anna, or something like that?

No, I know Edward is a pale ale, which was more to my point about the saison/sour/Gose styles. There was just too much lemon, a bit too much pucker (I'm not really gonna like any beer that makes me pucker, even as little as this one did) for my liking and that was a pale ale. Off the top of my head I also tried their Nordic Saison and couldn't finish the little pour I was given.

Maybe one day, if I'm offered a pour of one of the fruited Grimm beers, I'll try it, but I'm certainly not going to buy a bomber of it.

Speaking of Bees with a Buzz, I finally opened my Bees in the Trappe after cellaring it for almost 3 years. It was damn tasty I must say. The honey was subtle, and it was much better than I anticipated.

Went to WF Bowery this morning because their twitter said it was in, but still not there. The guy said maybe tomorrow, but probably Friday when they normally get their delivery along with Super Going.

i can say with almost 100% certainty that you did not have edward if there was heavy lemon or any at all puckering going on. not to mention edward isnt bottled as someone else said...

Don't think this is the correct handle. You might have to double-check it. :flushed:

I had the Edward a few times in the city and didn't think much of it. Susan was superb tho.

It was a 25oz bomber and it was split 3 ways, definitely Edward. I got citrus, but, to me at least, a lemon forward citrus. This was over a year ago so maybe I'm misremembering, but I wasn't a fan. I didn't hate it, it just wasn't my bag. The Nordic Saison and the Dorothy, otoh, I flat out didn't like.

Edward was never bottled, none of Hill's hoppy stuff is, it is a straight hoppy pale with no hints of lemon (should not at least)

This sounds like you had Arthur, not Edward.

    You, you're good.

Haha, I'm an idiot sometimes. The descriptors for Arthur say it all, no wonder I didn't like it.

Bees with a Buzz is a Belgian Strong w/ honey aged in brandy barrels, it was not a sour or fruited. What do you like other than IPAs?

Mostly stouts, porters, pilsners. Barleywines have grown on me. Most barrel aged stuff I like. When I'm in the mood, I'll go German and once in a blue moon, I'll go Belgian. Hence the user name, I appreciate a good basic stout every now and then. That's basically what I cut my teeth on.
