If it's any consolation, WF Chelsea told me yesterday that they weren't getting any until Friday---and that was AFTER people here posted about picking it up there!

 

i honestly think nobody at any whole foods knows anything about deliveries of grimm. it's a crap shoot.

always beer/cheese people. the only ones who seem to know are the beer buyers, but they're not on the floor very often.

Hellcat Annie's (formerly Pony Bar) are selling cans of Tesseract for $12.

Noble Grains just posted they have cans available. I'd have to figure that City Swiggers will get them today as well, if not, tomorrow.

 

City Swiggers has DDH Tesseract 1pp, Mexican Cake is also out for sale.

 

Maybe 20? left as of 1730 or so.

 

It's not really reasonable to expect them to know. This is about two or three cases max that will be in the store shorter than any other beer they get, and they're guaranteed to sellout.

 

You make a fair point and I don't think you're wrong. I do think that's very short sighted of them because it's a missed opportunity to create loyal customers. It's not really just two or three cases of beer, because I doubt anyone reading this drinks Grimm exclusively (Although if I could buy enough of it...)

 

All this talk about where to buy but few talking about this beer. DDH Tesseract is amazing! I know people loathe these kinds of comparisons but it's got a flavor characteristic that I've picked up only in Tree House IPAs before... I can't really describe what it is but i think it is a malt or yeast characteristic versus a hop one. Maybe someone with better knowledge/palate can explain?

 

Two of my friends went to WF Chelsea around 7pm and were able to get 2pp.

I had my first experience today picking up Grimm at whole food gowanus and it went quite smoothly.

2pp limit. She said they got three cases and only had a half case left as of 4pm today.

I've had the reg Tesseract and this DDH version is quite delicious. Not as candy flavored from what I remember from the original.

Question... the instagram post announcing it was from 2 days ago but the stamp on the bottom of the can was from 5/19. Is that length in delay from canning to delivery par for the course? Not complaining or anything, just curious.

 

I've always had the smoothest experiences at Gowanus.
