I get that they want as many people as possible to try the beer, and that's good, but something is wrong with the overall system when the limit on an IPA BEER is 1 16 oz per person. We are living in interesting times.

Why is that wrong? You need to limit stuff or else people come in pissed off they didn't get some. The problem is the demand and how little the supply is.

Exactly, you try it and are like "well this is good" and then maybe you get to drink it 1 more time when they decide to brew it again.

People will be pissed off no matter what. I think the 2 per person limit is stupid too. They put it in a 4 pack. Sell it in a 4 pack.

At home maybe...It's really not that hard to find in NYC bars.

May be its just me....what the point of running around to pick up A CAN? Isnt it easier to just have it on draft? Also, wasting so much energy without even knowing its really good (different recipe for this batch). Or is this release only in cans?

True. I'm not complaining here but I don't get why Grimm would brew two different canned IPA's instead of one larger batch. (ingredients maybe? idk)

4 pack limit seems too high since tons of stores only get a single case. I'd like it if places like WF that get bigger allotments would make it 4 packs, but it sounds like they get insta-swarmed anyway, so it's not like the beer is going to last much longer with a 2 can limit instead of 4. Just means twice as many get it.

I dont know what people are talking about here, Ive always picked up 4 packs from whole foods. As for the stores that get a case, why are they even getting them then...just my 2 cents.

Many of the WF locations that used to do 4-packs (Bowery, CC, BK, etc) have gone down to 2pp for at least two releases now.

Cool, so no one besides WF should get Grimm because they let you buy 4-packs? So basically just fuck all small bottles shops

Its not about what they let me its buy about distribution and what created this monster. I go to whole foods get my 4 pack and im done. 20 bucks. Now weve got people hopping from shop to shop to get more than 1 can and im sure some of them pick up from whole foods too.

You guys really only get a case?

Pretty much every non-supermarket gets a single case with a couple exceptions in my experience. Two at the max.

Carmine, Good Beer, ABC. Even Milk and Hops did 3 per person last release.

I guess it really varies by location.

I know two smaller bottle stores (one on BK, one in Manhattan) that have gotten 4+ cases of cans on multiple occasions (though I don't want to mention specifics in case everyone else is only getting one).

Carmine's was 2 pp for Tesseract. Also, FWIW, I asked them today while picking up Bomb! if they were getting any of this release and he hadn't heard anything.
