They were sold on the taproom only to preserve the 1 4pk p/p minimum. Sold out shortly after 2, roughly 30 mins after they hit the fridge.

To be fair, the 4pks are 18.99+tax, that's about as low as you can get for a can and still make margin.

Annoying, I was there at about 11:30 and then again at about 4:00.

Did you happen to ask anyone on staff about it earlier in the morning? We didn't get our shipment in until 1:30 or so, but I had been informing people calling in of that all morning.

    Hey everybody,
We're working to try to make sure everybody in NY who wants to get our DIPA's can get them. I think we were a little blindsided by the Paste article which changed the dynamics a bit on the demand side. There are still lots of places that have yet to receive their shipments, and lots of places that will be pouring it on draft.

A note about pricing since we've received messages about what various places are charging: we envision stores selling it for $4.25 per can off premise, $16.99/4-pack and $8/12oz pour in bars. But this is NYC... there's a lot of variation in rents in different neighborhoods and pricing can be all over the place. Our ideal pricing might not be possible for shops and bars in super trendy areas of the city because they have to increase their markups to pay rent. Please try to take prices in context with other comparable beers on the shelf/on tap in any particular spot.

Had some Afterimage tonight at Cooper's Chelsea - they had both cans and draft, I got a can because it was 4oz more for only an extra $1. Pretty sure the keg had kicked by the time I left at 11pm.

Have to say, it kind of blew me away. I've had every Grimm DIPA except Cloudbusting and this was just fantastic. Would need to try side-by-side with Tesseract to know for sure what was better. Also measured up favorably to S&S #5, Double Citra, SoS, and Heady, all of which I had in VT in the past 2 weeks. Super impressed.

Also wanna give a shoutout to Cooper's Chelsea - had Afterimage, Super Symmetry, HF Edward, and OH Green Diamonds tonight. They have a killer tap list right now. Super Symmetry is a killer follow-up to Super Going. Of those four, the two Grimms were definitely my favorites of the night, hands down.

Did the same. Got it from draft and then realized to start ordering cans.
Agreed that the taplist was insane. HF Edward, Mary, and the Grimms. $1 fish tacos!!!

I had Afterimage at RnH yesterday and it was great. Really liking all the beers Grimm is putting out lately. The gose's and ipa's have all been on point.

Like OH cans, I'm not too worried. The fact that @Grimm_Artisanal_Ales started canning just means I'll have a chance in the future. Hopefully for Tesseract!

@Grimm_Artisanal_Ales do we know how many cases hit LI? Just found Super Symmetry at a local store so assuming they wont be getting Afterimage since it came in today. No chance I can make it to Port Washington anytime soon but I'll keep an eye out at some stores near work.

FOMO is a powerful drug ! It is really fueling demand and hysteria at so many breweries now.

If there wasn't an opportunity to try a beer on tap, then I'd maybe get a little FOMO, but I don't get it over possessing bottles/cans of beer
