Grimm of the Future

The hype is real. It probably helps that most of us have already had Tesseract and know how great it is. Makes it tough to get any when you have a job and the stores all sell out within an hour or two of getting cans.

 

Yeah it seems like the larger batch size has not really made much of a difference. I work a 7-6 job with an hour commute afterwards so good luck to me...!

 

Eately had cans, 2pp. Picked up 2 an hour ago. Need to ask at guest relations.

 

Just spoke with Top Hops. Sold out of all Grimm save one bottle of Purple Prose.

 

I'll admit I hauled my ass from UES to St. Gambrinus when I saw it pop up on Beermenus. I had a beer, got my two cans and some other bottles and was on my way. Missed out on Top Hops though and got soaked by the rain if that's any consolation. I think I may have to give up on these kinds of chases

 

I wonder if there are kegs dropping as well? So far I only see cans, even at bars (aside from Mission Dolores).

 

Usually kegs roll out the following week. Hopefully there is enough for more growler fills than previous releases. That would help subdue some of the anxiety if I knew I could get a 64oz. growler in 6 days.

 

This whole thread is turning into hilarity to me. Love their beers, but so not worth the stress and this kind of chase IMO.

I remember just grabbing BA Double Neg last time around and they just sat on shelves. Oh well, gotta think of the pre-trades haha.

 

Top Hops sold out of BBDN

 

Last time they got it around the same time as everywhere else, but a pretty limited allotment and it went quick. I think they got a keg like a week later though that lasted for growler fills.

 

It seems like more bars got cans this time. I wonder if this is in lieu of kegs, or in addition.

 

My wife picked up wife of the year points for snagging me some! Being a teacher and working in the area paid off!

I hope with Grimm's ever growing popularity we see more frequent releases. I think that would cut down on the hysteria. Still very much appreciative of what Grimm does give us.

 

eataly has tesseract. 2 can limit for @ $5.40. still no bbdn tho.

probably heading to mission dolores tonight so i def have a shot at trying bbdn

 

WF Columbus Circle will be getting our allocation of both BBDN & Tesseract cans tomorrow. We'll be doing 2 cans per because of how quickly they've been selling out across the city as 4-pks. Would like as many people as possible to be able to try some cans. They'll be sold in the taproom, same for the BADN (1 per).

 

@Abstractual do you have any idea what time they will be on sale?

 

Any idea if this goes for WF TriBeCa too?
