Haven't tried Tesseract yet but am happy to hear your analysis of Superf*ckingyawn was right in line with my palate. Sweet syrupy mess, has potential though if they can reel it in. This first batch though, couldn't finish my 10oz.

I'm also hoping my palate agrees with your take on Tesseract cuz I'm trying to grab a sip of it tonight.

Tried this tonight at Ginger Man, very impressive DIPA from Grimm. Really enjoyed the beer

Hi! Lauren and I have been blown away by the enthusiasm for this beer. I can't tell you how proud I am of it.

There were some questions about where we are brewing right now. We brewed this batch in northern VA. It's a long drive but we've gotten really comfortable working in that brewery.

We are now splitting our time between that brewery and a new place in NYC -- Staten Island to be precise! We have a batch of NYC-brewed BFF (tripel IPA) bubbling away right now. We hope to do lots of IPA's and hoppy farmhouse ales on Staten Island, while we concentrate on sour farmhouse ales and barrel aged offerings in our VA host brewery.

I love the commitment to customer interaction. Keep it up and keep churning out Double Negative. Would kill to see a BA version eventually!

Thanks guys. We will likely release a batch 3 of Double Negative next fall. But the good news is that the barrel aged version will be coming out next month! 12 year Heaven Hill bourbon barrels. We drew samples from a few barrels last week and it tasted ridiculously good.

Hell yea! I thought it was a pipe dream for now. I hope I can come across a few bottles. Will this be distributed to bars for draft?

I'm really excited to try Blackberry Gradient. I know it'll be at EBF- is this one going to be bottled, or just draft?

There will be bottles and draft of both Gradient (blackberry sour brown) and Bourbon Barrel Double Negative, both to be released mid-march. BFF is coming out around the same time and it's draft only.

I had Tesseract at Ginger Man yesterday too, and man was it tasty, and I am not a big IPA fan. A grapefruit bomb. Feel free to check out my review.

Super excited for BA Double Negative. Was there a vanilla version going around?

We released 7 vanilla bean casks. Arguably the most delicious beer we've done. Sadly it's long gone.

Had the Tesseract last night on tap at Deccico's in Brewster. What an amazing beer! I can't get enough of it. Still have one Double Negative left in the cellar. I can't tell you how excited I am to hear about a BA version and more in the future!

We just booked a brew day for the follow up to Tesseract. It'll be brewed on Staten Island in mid march, for an early-mid April release date. Similar base beer to Tesseract but with a different hop blend. We're thinking Citra, Jarrylo, Cascade. Stay tuned.

Early in the same week, we're brewing a dry hopped sour in Virginia with the exact same hops that we used for Tesseract. It will also be tank conditioned on white oak. Pilot batches are like biting into a juicy tart peach. I am salivating already.
