Stopped in today at the new Growler and Grill in Nanuet NY. They had a nice tap selection including FBS, but no growler fills for it. Bottle selection was about the standard of other places in the area. The Prices were a little on the steep side compared to cable Bev. ex. being 16.50 for Bitches Brew as opposed to 13.00 at cable. All the staff was very helpful and eager to talk about beer. It seems like it will be a cool place to stop in and grab a pint now and then.
Interviewed up there and was offered a job but didn't seem like getting in on the ground floor was a good idea. Figured I'd let them get their feet wet and check back in a few months. Blew the guy away just talking about beer during the interview. He seems to prefer Belgians and not want to sell any BMC at all which is great in theory but volume sales of BMC stuff is what allows you to sell slower moving craft. Will be an interesting place to watch though and the owner seemed nice. I wish them luck.
A place called Growler and Grill...that turns around and doesn't sell a beer in growlers. LOL Sounds like they're off to a rip roaring start.
It's Growler and Gill not Grill. And Dhart is correct, they growlers, just not on FBS. I was in the other day and really liked it. I actually thought they had a bunch of things other places do not have, but I could be wrong. The staff was very helpful and eager to talk beer. Sounds like they will be setting up bottle shares too.
