I'm in Bergen County. Can you fill a growler in the area??
I've been up to Defiant (Pearl River NY) and in NYC, but haven't seen any places locally.

Take the trip down to Monmouth and Ocean Counties to visit Carton (Atlantic Highlands) and Kane (Ocean). Both are open on 12-5 Saturdays for Tours, Free Tastings and Growler Fills.

I'm up in Paramus. N. Arlington is a possibility...thanks. Does anybody know if the Shepherd & Knucklehead in Haledon do growlers. They have about 26 taps?

Taphouse Grille in Wayne fills growlers - its about 4 miles west from The Shep; all day Sunday is half price fills.

It's not up by Paramus, per se, but Cranbury Buy-rite does growler fills.

Yes that is correct. Anyway, you can cruise southbound down Rt 36 (Turns into Ocean Ave) to drive from Carton to Kane in about 30 minutes.

Bergen county and no one has mentioned Andys?! Andy's corner bar in Bogota. Constantly rotating tap list. Changes daily. Check the site. they're on queen anne rd off route 4 or 80

Coppermine is great too. Both places sell their own growlers as well and coppermine sells 32oz growlers which i like because i don't always want 64oz of something.

Don't know if shep and knucklehead does growlers.

Thanks for the various suggestions. I forgot about Andy's, that's the closest of the bunch. I'll probably try out a few of the places. Coppermine has a fine selection. How are the prices at Andy's & Coppermine? The place in Wayne with half price on Sunday might be worth the trip as well.

Just a little FYI. In NJ-For retail liqour stores ie "off premise lisences"- they legally cannot have growler fills. However, a liqour store can obtain a "Broad C" lisence which can allow growler fills being it allows to have a bar for on-premise consumption. However the stores that have growler fills and do it legally typically do not take advantage of being allowed to have a bar. For bars doing growler fills, I belive that also requires a certain type of liscence.

There's no mention of the half price growlers on their website; sometimes they tweet it - I found out when I was getting a growler filled and was informed that it was half price. I asked if that was always the case and evidently it is. Sorry, I don't know the price of the Kane Head High.

Kane Head High is $12.00 at the brewery if that helps.
