Mine are 32oz. They cost $8 a fill at Strand. I usually get them both filled at once and tend to drink them within a day or two.

according to my wife i drink too many growlers (or beer for that matter), the selection of beers available at Cellarbrations and IBS always keeps my bottles filled. (only touch CP systems)

i usually drink 50% imports and 50% locals with no preference either way, love being able to grab some cheap Weihan Hefe, a local product not bottled or an import at a cheaper price than the bottled version (except for Dupont, why is that?)

Dupont come in 20L kegs, and they need to be shipped back to Europe.

Lukie, as always, is correct. Dupont is super expensive.

I just can't wait for the day I can walk into the IBS and get Lukie's Lambic TM poured into a growler.

How did the latest batch go Lukie?

One of the batches has soured nicely. The other wasn't, so I added blueberries to it. Hopefully some of the sugars will give the bacteria something to eat.

perths a bit far. it means my olds come and stay for more than a week. can handle that.
but if a job came up over there might consider it.

but seriously when you get the bags up and running let me know, might have to call in a favour from a mate whos a courier.

They have to talk to every single local council for every single store, all of which will have different ways they would require for them to do growlers.

Then they need to get a food preparation license for every store.

You really dont want it David. I usually just punch a hole through the bag with a straw and sip but the wife complains that it looks like catheters in urine bags.

The lack of a wife in my case assists with the particular issue.

Ahh, seems we have some imported posters showing off about their cheap growler fills. How are these being cleaned, inverted and sprayed? IDD do a clean/fill station for about $AUD4k.

I have several screw top growlers. I usually fill them every two weeks(regular fill) and the carbontion is fine. I do tape the lids. I did drink one this weekend that I had let sit for over three weeks and it had lost some carbonation but wasn't flat. It reminded me of cask ale in texture(I have only had cask ale twice). I was wondering if anyone else had experienced this and thought the reduced carbonation gave it a cask ale texture?

You can buy squealers & growlers of craft beer from Steve's Cool Booze in Kingsford, Sydney.
Not only do they get seasonal & limited release beers (I bought some Murray's Spartacus today), but they also use a counter pressure machine that has four beers on at any time. Prices are reasonable too.
