I'm visiting Austin this week .. Staying in round rock. I'm Tryna game plan on what to do .. Have a bunch of family stuff to do but ill be able to manage at least one day to hit some beer spots.. Any suggestions on where to go ? I also want to get a few growlers to bring home with me .. Preferably swing top .. Where's the best place for that as well

    Growler Room.

Or Whole Foods (downtown or the south one).

Do not fill up at the Whip In or most beer bars - they often come out $5-15 more per growler than those two places listed above.

And I may be up for buying some 3 Floyds from you while you are in town. BM me if you can do that.

Growler Room for sure. Flix (in Round Rock) also fills growlers - they brew their own beers, which are quite good, and have other stuff as well, so worth checking out too.

Brass Tap just opened this week in downtown Round Rock - 60 taps, and a beautiful spot. Also Flix and HomeField are good places to go in RR for a beer.

If you're heading into Austin, I'd recommend Draught House (halfway to downtown) or Craft Pride/Bangers (downtown) as places to have a pint at.

    Pretty sure Growler Room does.

If you already have some you can bring your own, they'll fill any growler. Of course unless you're looking for new growlers

Whole foods downtown usually has 32 oz swing top. You may want to call before heading down there.

Nxnw brewpub has swing top growlers.

Growler room usually has a shit ton of growler types to choose from. Some of the growlers can be a bit pricey but the cost for a fill is really good.

Alamo Drafthouse sells nice swingtop growlers. Got one at the Lake Creek location. Of course, this was over 2 years ago...not sure if they still do.

Their growlers are definitely way overpriced. Their beer is generally super cheap, though, so hey!
