Have you seen the uKeg by GrowlerWerks, a pressurized growler system that keeps beer fresh and cold?

I also bought a couple through their campaign. I saw one live at the winter beer fest. Great concept, all one piece, substantial. Not sure if beer will stay good for the two weeks but all I need is a coupla days.

I wonder if the CO2 cartridge is powerful enough to carbonate a flat beer, or if it's only intended to preserve an already carb'd beer?

I think its a really cool concept with what seems like sturdy craftsmanship.

I would get it if I thought it filled a need in my life. Right now I only get growlers when I am going to a party or willing to throw down 32 or 64 oz at a time.

I guess I would like the possibility of having a tap in my fridge of hop venom, where I could get a 10 oz pour a night. Not worth the price for me right now though.

Wondering the same thing. Another way to carbonate a flat HOTD beer?

i don't see why not. 8g CO2 = 5.5L CO2 by volume. given a 2L vessel, and target carbonation ratio of 2.5x volume CO2/beer, you could use one 8g CO2 canister to carbonate a flat 2L of beer, and still have some CO2 left over to serve.

WalrusHunter, I agree. It looks sturdy, but I wonder how difficult cleaning would be to keep it sanitary.
MMMMmmmm...Hop Venom is amazing....Also Megafauna from Laurelwood is in same Imperial deliciousness category.
I would fill the gallon up with either one or Pliny the Younger if I could find some for a reasonable price in Stumptown.

No one would let you fill a growler of Younger. If they do I'm calling beer abuse!! But Megafauna is super delicious

Megafauna come in bottle though. I would probably do mostly draft only beers to get the most use out of it.
