Growling at the Moon - April

My box is out for delivery from Lewisberry, PA this morning. Those in the area who haven't yet received a growler for this round be on the lookout!

Third time was the charm according to UPS.

 

sholland119 sure was able to hit a bunch of my wants. In addition to

*an aggressively bubbling growler of Iron Hill Brewery's The Cannibal, which has me thinking that it will have to go with some triple creme cheese, there was:
*Russian River Redemption
*Russian River Salvation
*De Struise Black Albert
*De Struise Earthmonk
*De Struise Sint Amatus Vintage 2010
*Founders KBS '10 (? -- can somebody confirm whether or not what appears to be a MM YY marking along the bottom rim of the bottle is actually the bottle date? I know they bottle it in February, and my bottle from this year reads 02 12, and the bottle I received today reads 02 10. The date marked on the bottleneck has faded.)

So incredibly excited for these beers!

 

I have a bottle in the cellar that I think is from 2010. I will see what it says. I always thought those marks were a bottle manufacture date (if we are talking about the same marks)...

 

Well since my box was apparently undeliverable I'll be resending on Monday. I should have more Growler options in Austin this weekend.

I checked my bottles of Nemesis 2009 and 2010 (year on the brewery label). Bottle codes of 02 09 and 02 10, respectively.

 

Got a sick box today from ffejherb(sp) in PA!

-64oz growler of Spring House Pecan Sandie Porter (this looks AWESOME!)
-12oz Short's Soft Parade
-12oz Nugget Nectar (always a fave)
And a SICK New Glarus tasting glass I've never seen before! Thank you so much man, I'll try to throw up a review of the porter as there are very few of them right now.

Was Spring House featured in BA mag recently? I think I remember reading about them and they sound great.

 

A sweet mother of a box arrived yesterday from IL from Gonzoillini. His modified styro shipper will get rolling next week after I fill it this weekend. Sorry for being late this round.

Right on! Glad the box arrived safely. Yes, Spring House was recently featured in BA magazine. Those NG tasting glasses are only available at the brewery. My wife has been there a few times, so we've amassed more than a few of them! Enjoy! BTW - did you see the Spring House rubber coaster I threw in there? They are made from recycled car tires. Cheers!
