I'm trying to appreciate the entire Beers of Fame and tonight at my local liquor strore there were two options available to me: Current Gulden Draak for $12.99 Vintage (2010) for $9.99 Both are bomber sized. Having never had this beer before is there a reason to not get the Vintage?
Didn't know if there was a difference or if it was a marketing ploy. Getting both is not only possible but probably probable.
GD is my go-to dark belgian. Love that stuff. One of my first beers when I was starting to appreciate the good stuff. Its fun to do verticals, so I would advise to get both, grab a buddy, and try em right next to each other. Enjoy!
They are different beers, not different years of the same thing: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/48/33803 http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/48/155 "Vintage" is essentially a dubbel and always seems to show up when it's about 2 years old. Personally I prefer the regular Guldendraak (dark triple) much more.
