It has been a few years since this was addressed on BA. Seems like it is time to revisit. Best places to get craft beer in the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area? We plan to hit Fairhope Brewery. And I've visited Rouse's in Gulf Shores and Publix in OB. Both have decent selections. What am I missing? I would love to find some Cigar City beers.
Maggie's bottle and tail, next to Cosmo's in OB is a great shop, best around near the beach. If you're coming in from the west, or don't mind a drive, Cottage Hill Package Store near Mobile is top-notch.
Find any of the total wines and you'll find some good beers there. I'll hit one for some jai alai while I am down visiting my gfs parents.
Someone told me I should stop at Cottage Hill when I was going to Navarre, but just couldn't justify getting that far off 10. This year I am driving down during the week, so might break the trip up and slip by there to stock up.
I third (?) Maggie's. Tiny room with about three multi-tiered racks of individual bottles, but it's an eclectic selection and satisfied my needs quite well. I was there in late December and wanted to pickup a selection of beers that I can't get in TN. They had the standard Cigar City canned offerings (Jai Alai, Invasion, Maduro, FL Cracker) in good quantities, plus a few different beers from a broad range of other brewers from across the country (e.g., Sixpoint, DGF, Good People, Ballast Point, Bell's, Terrapin, etc).

I have not been to Cottage Hill but my brother went over Christmas and said most everything in the store had really old dates. Make sure you check dates on Hoppy Beers if you stop there. Maggie's is a good shop, but most everything they have can also be found at the Rouse's Market at better prices. It has a good selection for a grocery store.
