When adding additional (after the mash additions) Gypsum and calcium chloride do you add to the sparge like is says on the EZ water spreadsheet or to the boil kettle like Palmer says on the BN podcast?

    Your take?

I added to brew kettle because I continuous sparge, i.e. not all the sparge water makes it to the boil. Amount is computed based on quantity of sparge water. But this is new to me and would appreciate feedback from others.

Kettle. The reason is that 'sparge' mineral additions are for flavor and/or building calcium for yeast flocculation, not for mash pH, since the mash is finished.

Depends on the day and I've heard that since I use RO water there is no reason to add them to the mash during the sparge. I've had great results both ways so you can do no wrong on this one.
