So I have a somewhat decent cellar set up, but I have in their are a few KBS from the last few years. Couple black notes and a few other imperial stouts. Today I picked up some beers and I was wondering if they would benefit from going in the cellar for a year or a couple of years. The beers I picked up were the new holland pilgrims dole wheatwine ale, and also the new holland incorrigible white sour ale. Thank you all for the help! Cheer!

Exactly what Beerschlitz said. Sours are best fresh. Barleywines can get better with age. In the case of Pilgrims Dole - pick up as much as you can and drink a couple fresh and age a few.

I don't have a lot of experience with wheatwine, but from what I have heard from brewers and even mentioned on the BN is that these beers do not age well and should be consumed fresh. I have no first hand experience with this style so I am unsure. I would also venture to say that Wheatwine and Barleywine are two totally different beers so I don't see how it is fair to say if x ages well the so should y when the only similarity would be the high ABV.
