Gift from a friend; a 16oz Furious he was able to pick up.

Absolutely amazing. I cannot believe how hard this is to find. I guess their distribution doesn't hit PA/MD very often.

    My god though, beautiful beer.

I wish! PA doesn't allow shipping to my knowledge, and I have no idea where to go to get it. Driving isn't an issue unless it's 100+ miles, and even then I am finding issues.

Yeah, the guy who gave it to me praised Abrasive to all hell, but I'd heard enough about that to not be surprised. When he mentioned Bender, I wanted to try everything they had.

I was fortunate during the last BASC release that someone in line next to use brought several Surly beers. Fantastic each and every one of them. I don't think they are distributed at all in PA or MD though

France 44 will ship Surly, sounds like PA is not an option for you but France 44 is an option to keep in mind, a great online option

Had Mild on tap at the Muddy Pig when I was up there last month...great beer! Wish I would have reviewed it.

Huh. Sad to hear it's MN only, but maybe France 44 will work out if my father will pick up a package in Maryland.

Surly is right up there with 3F on the breweries that need to expand list.

Very true. The only time I've seen Three Floyd's is at Max's Taphouse in Baltimore, and even that was a collaboration wheatwine.

Every Surly beer I've tried I've rated >4.0 except the Surly Five. It's the ONLY one I've been disappointed with. That's quite impressive.

Great to her about the expansion and the ability to ship to PA! I am about to finish my undergrad diplomas, so I'd love to have some great beer over senior week. Maybe that expansion will help during the move back to Baltimore.

I can't wait for another trip to MN to stock up on Surly... Of the few I've tried (Furious, Abrasive, Coffee Bender, Bitter Brewer & Smoke) Abrasive and Coffee Bender were my favs. Super glad to have such stellar brews only an hour away from my hometown in Canada! :grinning:

And the Furious is usually really fresh, about two weeks old or less most times. It's not technically legal (ok...it's not legal at all) but oh well. Does anyone know if they ever carry Abrasive?

If they did, I missed it. I had to buy it from another online MN store.
