We are beating the skeleton of a dead horse at this point, but it isn't that people are cheap and craft is expensive, it's that the perceived value for some is far less than the $83 ticket price. If you drink 64 ozs of ipas at the fest, you essentially paid $63 more than just getting the equivalent growler of HA IPAs. If you can put back 320 ozs of ipas, or the equivalent of 5 16oz 4-packs in 5 hours, you come out ahead.

I watch my dollars but view this more as a party than a "fest". The event has value beyond the beer I drink.

    re: big north

big north is definitely one of the best parties of the summer. year after year. year before last they were giving out tattoos. the bands consistently kill it and it's the perfect space to hold that many people. all of that is beer aside. allah-lah's are going to be a great headliner this year, too. idk how anybody could pass on this one people need to get their priorities in order.

Hahaha still discussing big north price....

Anyways it's 2019, do I have to get to half acre early for my case of Beer hates (what should really be discussed in this thread over big north) or should I be okay later tonight?

It’s not hazy, distro was plentiful last year, and they’re filling growlers. I’d venture to say no rush.

    Beat me to it.

One thing that's great about the haze craze is that the majority of non-hazy HA IPAs that used to be hard to get around here, + HA's increased production = beer actually stays on shelves long enough to get it, and maybe come back for more. I remember when GDDC used to be a beer people stood in line for an hour or two on Lincoln to get, and now I have the opportunity to pass on it at Binnys.

Also, if HA wanted to start doing BHA for like half the year, I wouldn't complain...

That would fill my void of picking up (fairly)fresh Navaja whenever I please.

I know I'm late, but Bodem is awesome. Extra bonus that's it's $10.

I was more looking for a description of what made it so good- floral hops, roasty taste, tons of lactose, hazelnuts, etc. A little more info so I can determine whether I need to go the full mile to Half Acre..
