What’s the verdict on this batch of BHA? @SeanBond any insight?

Is good. Loads of aroma and flavor as always. I’m on my 2nd 4-pack.

Same here. Maybe not the hazy bomber BHA we all remember, but it still hits on everything I want for a HA IPA. I'll happily buy a third 4pk if I see it in stores.

I hope this year's release comes close to the batch from 2016. That shit was mighty tasty!

Did Binnys get big stacks of BHA? My grocery store only had a couple 4 packs left and I grabbed them. They were in the fridge so could of had more in back. But the same store had a huge stack of GDDC when it came out so I'm guessing this is a much smaller batch.

Thank goodness for BHA- I bought a 4 pack of Bodem and haven't been able to get through more than half a can without giving up.

I can help you. Donate you're unused Bodem cans to ravens_wood. They'll be loved.

This is the most ridiculous statement I've ever read on these forums. IMO its currently the best widely distributed year round IPA in the Midwest. I've probably been through nearly a case now one 4 pack at a time. It's just difficult to buy anything else.

Remember, this is all subjective. While I will not say that Bodem is "hard" to get through or "undrinkable"; I will definitely agree it is not as good as its predecessor. Half Acre has now gone away (pun intended) from two of my favorite core beers from them (Vallejo and Navaja). I get it, costs went up for Vallejo production so they elected to go in a different direction. I just don't find much of the core line-up interesting enough to purchase right now. Crazy to think considering a year ago I would regularly buy Navaja and Vallejo 4-packs weekly.

I think the thing about Bodem (which I do like) is that it's not "easy-drinking" for better or worse. I feel like it's not the type of HA beer I'd go to in the summer, but I also drank a lot of Navaja during the summer, and that's obviously a 10% abv beer, so what do I know.

Last summer Binnys (with their card) had Pseudo Sue for $7.99 a 4 pack for what seemed like all summer. I easily went through 2 cases just myself. While I think there are certainly better IPAs out there, barring some type of better beer for the price I plan on drinking a whole lot of Bodem this summer.

To me it tastes like drinking club soda. Nothing about it says beer to my taste buds. I'd gladly take any macro Goose IPA over this- and I am hard pressed to remember something from Half Acre that I would consider bad.

ease up on the hyperbole. bodem is a fine beer, but it's main selling point is cost.

if I were forced to focus solely on forgettable beers I can get on the shelf anytime for ~10 bucks, i'll take lizard king, son of juice, mind haze, just to name a few

Must be in the minority but I find Bodem to be extremely drinkable. To the point where I'll crack one with the plans to then move to something else, but decide to just crush a few Bodems instead. I'd buy one 4 pack of Vallejo a summer but like I said have probably gone through a case of Bodem already, I likely will buy a full case at some point. But I don't really look at as Bodem replacing Vallejo, Volo replaced Vallejo as the summer seasonal. .If Gone Away has gone away for good I will be a little more sad.

I disagree, I think it's better then 80% of the $15 4 packs I've bought in the past year flat out before even considering price. I'm a huge Lizard King fan but unfortunately its not fresh in my neck of the woods so I've been opting for fresh Daisy Cutter over it.

+1. Been going straight from the can. No glass needed. I've made it through three 4 packs since it was released (some given to friends or splitting a can here and there). It's really good, and with it being readily available, it'll certainly be a go to for me.

I tend to prefer big, hoppy, West coast style IPAs out of the can to be honest. I noticed that when I put NvU or Navaja, for example, in a glass, I don't enjoy them as much as from the can.

I'll be sure to report back after trying Bodem from the can, and from a glass this weekend (I don't drink during the week). All I know is I usually fly through a NvU 4-pack in a few hours on the weekend if I keep them in the cans

Who would've thought Bodem would cause this sort of controversy?
