I second @HouseofWortship below that you should check their lists first. They do great stuff.

If you dig sours, definitely go to Dovetail just down the street. They're doing the best sours in the city for my money.

My preference has always been Lincoln over Balmoral. It’s their original taproom (holds sentimental value to me), they have great burritos and I’ve never been let down by their on-site tap list... except for that one time they didn’t have Space IPA available and I basically threw a fit. If you haven’t had Space IPA, it is their draft only, ‘old school’ IPA... citrusy with a dry, bitter bite at the end. It epitomizes Half-Acre IPAs for me. Been drinking it for 10 years. Also, their shop next door is nice with plenty of goodies available for to-go (beer, merch, coffee, etc.). You can get growler/howler fills there and can try anything available before you get it. I don’t know, I just like Lincoln taproom more.

Balmoral is bigger (has TVs), has a bigger variety of food and some solid guest drafts.

You won’t go wrong with either choice, but my preference is Lincoln.

    “I need some Space!”

“Sir, it’s always crowded in here. I don’t know what else I can do for you.”

Great beer. Much more bready malt character to it than most of half acres IPAs these days. Color closer to something like an alpha king from three floyds

Sounds like a major major revamp on daisy Capra. Like barely the same beer except for the fact that it’ll use enigma and the double daisy cutter malt bill. New yeast. Several new hops.

I didn’t love, but didn’t mind last years.

Sadly I’m guessing this version will be hazy though. Hoping I’m wrong.

The last ipa released that didn’t seem intentionally hazed was Wand. Since then we’ve got fully saturated, sailors kush, the boat house, wait for the sound, and dungeons. All hazy.

I’ve seen clear and hazy veer fermented with Conan, so I guess we’ll wait and see.

While I've always equated Conan with some form of haziness (isn't that what Kimmich uses in Heady?), I will say that (I think) the first batch of Juice Pants used Conan, and was not the least bit hazy.

Which is kind of funny because... wasn't that the point for that beer? We have come a long way (depending on your perspective - maybe or maybe not in the right direction.

Yeah, I remember people taking issue with it's lack of haze. Ironically I'd love for them to make it now, because I thought it was really great as it was.

Conan easily makes a hazy beer. same guy said hops add oxygen into beer. i aint saying he's a bad person, but both statements are 100% wrong.

You'll be pleased to know there is not one iota of haze in this release. Crystal clear, really.

Damn I miss this place... and Dungeons should be a year-rounder, or at least on a strong 3-6 month rotational basis. That would be awesome.
Better would be making Navaja available year-round. That stuff is so much better than Hopslam for the weight...not even funny.
Y'all keep HA in business until the next visit, ya hear?

Average fare at an unfair price. Though the Roman style pizza gets me every time.

Anyone else frustrated with the new keg club ordering? They listed the new beers coming but little to no description (i.e. what hops, etc).

Also, is the only way to get kegs now to pre-order BEFORE the beer is released? I often like to try the new beers or at least see comments on the beer before I order a keg.

    Anyone have more info?
