Ugh. Will go another day then. Thought the HA madness from years past was just when releases were sold on-site.

While that would mean I'd skip them all, it makes sense to me too.

If you want just pours of the variants half acre announced back on the 15th they will be available at BOTH Lincoln and Balmoral. Balmoral may be the choice for me this afternoon since Lincoln will be a zoo with the package pickups and all.

Balmoral actually has 1 more variant on tap than Lincoln does as well. Vanilla, apple brandy and Pommeau

On twitter this morning, they mentioned Balmoral will have multiple variants on at open while they will tap them successively at Lincoln

Benthic is drinking awesome this year. Lots of coffee roast and coconut with more barrel than I’ve gotten in the past.

Apple Brandy is legit if you dig the apple cinnamon combo. The cinnamon and apple go well together, and the apple doesn’t overpower. Very well balanced and only got better as it warmed a bit.

Pommeau was a miss for me. Got some barrel and a bit of apple cider in the finish, but it drank like a lighter benthic otherwise.

Vanilla is overpowering. Not good. Apple Brandy is where it's at.

Like fresh 18 Vanilla BCBS, where it tasted like straight vanilla extract? Or are all of the components there, but vanilla is just too present?

Apple brandy has kicked at Lincoln if anyone is thinking of coming.

All you can taste is vanilla. Zero cinnamon, zero coffee, zero barrel.
