Holy chit. I said I was done with beer releases but I might just need me some of THAT!

 

FWIW, I definitely did not love Navaja. I thought it needed either more bitterness or less alcohol. FFF can put out a 10%+ DIPA because their strong hop bitterness covers the alcohol. With Navaja, I could literally taste the alcohol, like someone poured a shot of vodka into a regular IPA.

Now Vallejo...... that was a really good beer. From what I have heard, they use Nelson Sauvin heavily in Vallejo, which is probably why I like it.

 

Yeah.....it supposed to be brutally cold.....so hoping itll last until 2pm or so. No info on limits or pricing yet.

 

Pricing is $24.99 a 2-pack, I think.

 

As a Benthic convert, I'm going to make a pass at getting this! Not a huge cinnamon fan, but I think they'll integrate it nicely with the other delicious-sounding ingredients.

 

Just saw that Tome will retail for $10.99 which is odd considering Bodem and Daisy Cutter, etc are $9.99. Not sure I need to pay an extra dollar for a hazy Pale Ale.

EDIT: Also, why is Bodem $19.99 for a 12 pack when Daisy and Pony are $17.99 when the 4 packs are all the same price?

 

Benthic was a huge surprise and one of my top beers of the year. I'm a cinnamon nut and will have to find my way down to the city somehow as result.

If that's the mindset I have no chance. I was thinking of heading there after work like 6pm-7pm. Oh well, none for me.

 

It will all depend on expected trade value. No trade value/small trade value = no worries about lines or running out that quickly. Trade value = shitlord neckbeard bum-rush.

 

I just want some because Vanilla, Cinnamon, and Buffalo Trace were mentioned...

Agreed. And yet, I'm still going to buy it even if not provided a satisfactory answer.

 

So if I arrive at open (11am) tomorrow would one be good for a 2pack? Hard to gauge this one since it wasnt known for a long period and hyped like Benthic releases.

 

The only way to find out is go there at open and report back your findings.

 

I plan on making it there early-ish. Not 11 but most likely between 12-1. It’s releasing at Lincoln and Balmoral so logistically, people shouldn’t have too hard a time getting some with it being split between both locations. Who knows though.

 

Anyone going today, your early reviews would be much appreciated
