This also reminds me about Bongripper getting rained out at the last Rev Oktoberfest party. That was a sad night. Stuffing my gob with Cuvee de Grace and other DW helped ease the pain some.

 

Holy hell - what’s that, three Half Acre Benthic-related posts without any details? I’d reaaally like to know some info so I can plan my trip into town and grab some!

I’m new to the greatness of the Benthic and found more info on the re-release of 2020 than the actual release of 2020 (if that was a thing). I’m guessing it can be expected to be Friday, Nov 19 through the weekend? I think that’s what 2019 showed as an equivalent date for 2019. It would also be tough to make a dedicated trip if limits were very low. So, guess I’m just waiting here (im)patiently for answers. Stoked either way! Be it trade or in person.

 

I've loved the recent Benthic art, but I do take issue that it really seems to look like pelagic, not benthic creatures. I'm also pretty confident that very few (if any) other people have been bothered by this.

I keep trying to crack the code of Benthic sediment and whether that explains how the base beer doesn’t have coffee in it. Yes, I’m salty about it.

 

Serious question out of left field from a strictly philosophical POV: Does any “base” actually have ‘adjuncts’ like coffee? Isn’t the base always just the straight up stout, even if the “base” for a line of beers always includes coffee?

 

yes, I think that’s right - but “Benthic” always has coffee in it. Some “Benthic variants” don’t contain coffee. So are those variants really Benthic? And if yes, is it correct to say that Benthic doesn’t have coffee in it? If you magically took each component of Benthic out of Benthic, and re-composed those elements in a cup in the barroom of the Ship of Theseus, but left out the coconut, would that be Benthic?

Unrelated, I increasingly think I’m allergic to coconut (terrible headache every time I drink a coconut beer). Which is the worst, and also won’t stop me from bathing in a bathtub full of benthic dressed as a narwhal, which, from my earlier research, is the king of the Benthic Zone. Thanks Altavista!

Sounds like another great KT saison. I picked up a bottle of From the Outer Edge of Inner Space when I was there in September, I totally should have bought more.

We shouldn't be burying KT releaes in the HA thread when there's a perfectly good KT thread.

 

Wait, I thought KT was leaving the city. Can you provide a perfectly good update in the KT thread?

 

I added it to the KT thread (which was buried 3 pages back, totally forgot there was one). It was on HA's instagram page, so it seems like status quo for the time being. Disclaimer: I know nothing on the status of KT except that I wish I could try more of those saisons.
