From Half Acre's Blog posting today....
    SheWolf

[IMG] Many moons ago we paired up with our brewing brethren at 3 Floyds and turned out an IPA by the name of SheWolf.
We thought it best to unite once again and let the wolf loose. Ripped from the bitter bowels of the netherworld, we offer you the sharp milk of the beast.
Always shapeshifting, the Shewolf came to be in a new light, fresh and full of power. This will be both a growler and bomber release. Release details to follow.
    Come feed.

It's about time they made this again. Easily my favorite beer from Half Acre to date.

Hmm, I'll have to try and find some. Love both those breweries.

I'd put this right behind Freedom of '78. Awesome beer.

Who will be selling it? Both? Never understood why Half Acre didn't sell Mutiny....

The label's not as good this time around, but hell yeah!

Agreed on the label art. Why change an already awesome label. This is one of my favorites as well, just behind Big Hugs and Freedom of '78.

Mutiny was brewed and bottled at FFF, so they sold it at the FFF brewpub. SheWolf was brewed and bottled at Half Acre so it was sold at Half Acre.

If I'm not mistaken, they change their label every time they re-release a bottle.

Due to the fact that the breweries are in separate states, it's not very easy for them to stock each other's bottled products. 3 Floyds would have to negotiate some sort of exclusivity deal with Glunz to have the collaboration beers only sent to the Half Acre storefront, and Half Acre would have to find a distributor in Indiana, period.

For a keg, it's much easier. Stores can't cry foul as it's not cutting into their sales, and other bars can't complain as a keg isn't a divisible asset. There are also festival permits that allow temporary distribution for breweries that don't have a presence in-state (which is how events like FoBAB and DLD work).

I'd expect to see She-Wolf and other collaborations on-tap at FFF (and Half Acre's tasting room whenever it opens), but bottles will be pretty much exclusive to the brewery where they are made.

With a few exceptions (Ginger Twin, Baume, etc...) you are right. Big Hugs, Double Daisy Cutter and now SheWolf are the ones that jump to mind as having changed with every release.

    Cheers!

They actually changed the Ginger Twin art between last year's release and this year's release. It's subtle, but there are differences. The concept is the same, though.

    I stand corrected.
