Well I screwed the pooch. Forgot and arrived 40 minutes late to the party. Needless to say I didn't catch any Hell.

 

This is really easing my FOMO. Giving me GFMO.

 

The use of 1980s era CIA surveillance photographs as captchas is kinda odd. <adjusts tinfoil hat>

 

Captcha is definitely outsourcing categorizing datasets for computer vision ML projects. Leave that tinfoil hat on and drink something strong to forget your pain.

 

Going to finish off my $30 4 pack of Brickstone Dark Secret Vanilla 15 tonight to quell my FOMO.

 

when I finally got through the line it was sold out....not mad at all given price, can size, taxes, etc.

 

I hopped onto the Universe page around 8:30 and went through nearly 10 minutes of captchas. Got to the “You’ll be placed in the queue. Do Not Refresh!” page, then realized:

1. I have a crap ton of Rev Deep Woods beers
2. I have 11 beers left in my Extreme box
3. I’ve mostly stopped drinking M-Th
4. Universe service fees are probably gonna suck

It still feels like an accomplishment to have closed my browser and walked away.

 

What's your secret?

 

Looks like On & On Pt2 has taken the place of triple barrel on the menu online

 

Sounds like Half Acre should send some triple barrel down to STL for April

 

Honestly, professional help and getting on a different antidepressant. Also, more exercise and a “no calories after 8pm rule” have really cut my desire to have a beer.

 

More power to you, my friend. I might have to try that no calories after 8 thing.

 

I had a small arsenal of BA beers in my fridge to choose from tonight. In honor of being successful this morning, I went with Benthic 2021. What a nifty beer.

Their releases are always interesting to watch unfold. Truffllegate excluded, I've had really good luck with HA releases and Universe. I had to do the captcha twice. Got in line around 8:50. Went back to work, checked back a few minutes later and had the internet frowny face, panicked, had to do the dreaded refresh, redo captcha once, back in line, then got through at 9:03. My phone is pushing 3.5 years old, is 4G, and had ~2 bars. I flew through check out using Gpay no problem. /shrug

Anywho, as others have mentioned, it would be great if HA made Catch Hell an annual release - or put it on a 3 year cycle like this. Between Benthic, the Catch Hell line, Obsidian Throne, Soak in the Shadows, On & On Part 2, and Orin, HA's barrel program is spectacular.

TL;DR - HA makes great beer and I really need a new phone.

 

I still have one left. I should probably fix that.

Man, same here. The cost helped me not get the Benthic or Catch Hell this year tho, seems like HA stouts are pricier than most. At least more than Rev's beers.

Lots of FOMO on benthic though, especially after having Xtra Dubl at FOBAB. Luckily my buddy shared some cans with me and they were awesome. Might just split the pack with someone next year...

I did get On & On Pt 2 tho, outstanding.
