it hit distro last year, and many retailers were selling it by the can, which in my opinion is a much better option than having to drop $50+ (after tax) on a four pack.

Phew! Relieved to have grabbed a couple 2-packs in the microseconds it took for it to sell out.

I guess all those times in my youth trying to win concert tickets on radio call-in contests was kind of like practice for times like these. Seriously though, I just had the app open a minute before noon knowing it would go quickly considering the fair price, double-barrelling and proxies being allowed.

Lol. I hope it really is sold out because double barrel, but really expect it to be available in cooler for a while. Given the pricing I can’t imagine it was worthwhile for them to make this a small batch and would expect it to be similar large quantities to prior releases, but who really knows.

I really don’t understand this sentiment. Why is it a bad thing if Half Acre holds back stock to offer to their in person locals who don’t know or don’t care about Oznr? Seems like a good balance that keeps everyone happy- online sales for convenience factor, but also having some on hand for someone who makes the effort to drink in their taproom and wants to bring home a beer they loved on draft.

I wish when I travel around the country that breweries would sit on some stock to be able to offer to me when I’m in town a few weeks after a hot online sale.

Who said it was a bad thing? I’m hoping it sold out for Half Acre’s sake as they seem to sit on their barrel aged beers these days. Some of those beers in the cooler seem like they were released over a year ago. Kind of like seeing Rev with variants of Deth that they couldn’t move over the course of three years still for sale on site…

Before Land Shook sold out on Oznr and never hit the fridge to the best of my knowledge. They responded to someone asking on IG and said “2 packs are sold out” for whatever that’s worth.

I wish catch hell or double or triple barrel catch hell ever made it into the fridge

It was in the fridge as recently as the Benthic release if not still there…

I think the REAL lesson here is: make more barrel aged barleywine without any funny stuff, and make less hyper-sweet stouts.

3 Year Barleywine and Wilderness of History are both on draft at the taproom.

Fun fact: 3 Year Barleywine was the last beer brewed at Lincoln Ave! (Sorry if someone already noted this)

Yeah, it’s been in the fridge for multiple BA releases this year. I picked up a pack a couple different times after release (and posted on here when I saw them).
