Man yall are funny. I don't care nor do I order flights.
I did encourage you to see the taproom staff's side of things and if you choose not to, understand why people dislike your lack of empathy.

Taproom managers set the precedent - whether they care about staff's opinions, that I don't know.
Does your manager at work task you with things you hate doing? If not, is your company hiring?

 

I just go in to bars and sit there and not order anything because I am so empathetic to the server’s feelings I don’t want to have to burden them with getting me a drink and then having to get me a bill and then having to report the tip on their income…so taxing….

I get tasked all the time with doing things I don’t want to do at work, that’s why it is called a job and not a hobby. Not coincidentally I get paid to compensate for having to do work I may not enjoy….

 

Right? And imagine applying to work at a taproom only to hate talking about and serving beer. To paying customers!

Must be exhausting to be in the mindset @canti-yawn describes, always so worried about some speculative hypothetical grudges that strangers could have based on your ordering preferences. Next we’ll be hearing we should be more empathetic to vegan servers who work at a steakhouse and are forced to talk about and serve meat… better just order the side salad instead, lest we be judged.

 

Ultimate Empathy Hack: I don't go to bars or taprooms at all ever for any reason. That way no one has to do any work.

I understand it may be annoying, but it's part of the job. If the biggest inconvenience at your job is you have to pour a flight of beer instead of a point, try switching jobs with me and being a public school teacher for one day.

Not all aspects of a job are going to be awesome but, in the words of Don Draper...

You’ll be fine ordering 5oz beers of whatever beers you’d like at HA.

 

DB Catch Hell terrific as expected. Great balance of cinnamon and barrel and “easy” drinking for the abv. I think it’s better than the last DB version which was excellent as well. They had regular catch hell in the fridge as well

I'm not sure I could tell them apart in a blind taste test! Both 10% sluggers with that inimitable, instantly recognizable Half Acre hop vibe. They are interchangeable to me...in a good way, if that makes sense*.
