Half Acre Coming to NYC!

For what it's worth, I don't think Half Acre's stuff is a tier below PW; Half Acre's issue is that almost all of their best beers are very limited release (usually once a year). Goneaway is very solid as an easy-to-get 4-pack, and Daisy Cutter is an easy drinking classic, but I'd say their best beers are Beer Hates Astronauts, Galactic Double Daisy Cutter and maybe Navaja (Big Hugs is pretty solid too, but not on the level of those first 3), which I assuming aren't making it around to NYC distro at all. If they do, grab 'em.

Either way, enjoy! Nothing makes me happier than when a local brewery is able to start widening their distribution/fan base!

 

There was one attendant standing near the case(s) handing out the 4pk when asked about it. It looked like there was a few other cases untouched, but I'm not 100% on that and could've been something else. Also, I was there a couple hours ago, and things could have drastically changed since then....maybe call and see if you squeeze an answer out of them?

I was able to get a can of daisy cutter yesterday. I've had it before when I was in Chicago and loved it, and this time it was no exception. Such a fantastic pale ale. I hope we start getting more and more so I can buy 4-packs instead of just one can.

I am ISO Double Daisy Cutter. I hope a keg or two make it to Long Island..

 

Just saw Gone Away DIPA cans in Astoria. Was going to grab a few but didn't feel like paying the markup that my local spot charges for cans.

 

Just had my first Daisy Cutter at One Mile House. Wish I could get this by the case.
