I don't see anyone blaming the brewery for the format, just stating personal preferences. Kind of like rating the flavor profile of a beer on a beer rating website.

Hey sometimes consumers make a decision, to like criticize a business for practices that effect the consumer.

Fair enough; seems to me that the criticism is implied (however subtly so).

And yes, the beer: this version is just as glorious as I remember it and I'm sure everyone lining up to buy it will be happy with their bomber purchase(s).

Does HA fill other brewery growlers or only their own?

Any updates on how long the line is? Should be there around 2 and hoping the line isn't too bad.

In line now. I've been here since 12:15. I'm about 50 people back. In all, I'd guess (and it's just a guess) there are about 300-350 in line.

I think the line will end up being 2 hours for me, last time I could see the end of the line it was at least as long as when I got in it.

2 hour wait for me and the line is still further than where I started. Good luck everyone!

I got there around 11:30a, and got my DDCG around 1pm. Line was 350 deep when I left, and not sure how much was going to be left by midday. Couldn't have asked for a better day (temperature-wise) to wait in line!

Are lines for Half Acre stuff always this crazy? Shocked at the turnout in the middle of a workday for a beer that sees several releases a year...

I'm not very good with guessing but there's definitely not 300 people here. Line is around the corner onto Cullom almost to the alley. Very surprised that there's this many people mid afternoon as well.

Galactic Double Daisy is only released once a year. The last time the line was this crazy was Big Hugs. The sprawler series releases have not been like this.

I got there a little before 11:30 and was out just after 1pm. The past couple of years, the GDDC release has had a decent turnout (always been a weekday). Last year was the first year it sold out before later in the evening. Big Hugs Sunday release has become ridiculous, so I don't even bother. I hope they keep GDDC releases on weekdays as its the one beer from HA I'll wait in line for.

My bad, I was a little clueless that there was a normal double daisy cutter and then a galactic version...

Glad I didn't wait in line, was able to grab a bottle at Binny's this afternoon.

In line at 12:15. Checked out at 2:30. The line is about 70% of what it was when I got there.

Well run. 1st 2 in line got 2 free GDDC bombers each, and the 1st 12 got handed, gratis, the first, yet to be released Vallejo 4pks. Thanks HA!
