I see on Hunterdon's website that Half Acre will be in NJ. They had some tap takeovers but i didn't realize they were going to have a full presence. Good news.
Saw this too when I checked hunterdon last night. Daisy cutter is a classic and I can’t wait to be able to snag four packs of it. We’ve gotten a lot of new distro over the past year, evil twin, Stillwater, IA, singlecut, omnipolo, and many more. Plus all the great local places, good year for beer in nj.
You may be right about the 2/13/18 date on the DC cans. Only looked at it quickly as I wasn't going to purchase any. Assumed the 13 was an 18 on a quick glance. Edit: Just checked my Navaja cans and they are dated 2/13/18
Gone Away is really, really good! This and Daisy Cutter are my favorite so far. My only complaint is the canned on date is 2/02/18, and while not super old the beer is already 1.5 months old and it had just arrived at the store when I was shopping. In fact the clerk had to enter it into the computer to charge me because it was so new. I do like the beer but I really would prefer it to be a little fresher. The nose on the beer has that "Essence" of what was once a great aroma but has faded due to it's slight age. Other than that, awesome brew! And my god that Can art is worth the purchase alone!
My least favorite brew thus far. It's very strange, it claims to make use of "the grigio-esque, raspberry and cantaloupe of Enigma. Citra, Equinot, Centennial and CTZ cut the rest of its tones, a dense and tropical edible arrangement." But on the aroma I get grapes and the slightest touch of dankness. Very mellow and sweet aroma that seems more dominated by malts then hops. And it drinks the same way. Lovely malt character but just wish a little bit more from the hops stood out. Good beer, but not worth the almost 18 bucks I paid for. Daisy Cutter and Gone away were much more reasonable in price and beeter!
