these guys are south of santa cruz. that is not HMB. but they make good beer so if you are in capitola, stop there/


I don't think there is anything exceptional brew0wise between capitola and sf.... there are probably some ok places in and around san jose. but the coast is not all that for beer.... just enjoy the ride.

 

Hop Dogma is a must

 

+1 for Hop Dogma...these guys are under the radar atm but put out some quality stuff

 

I believe Highway 1 Brewing is not too far from Half Moon Bay.

 

If you have a car a trip down to SARA in Capitola is worth it from Half Moon Bay. Further, 5 minutes away from SARA in Soquel is Beer Thirty. IMO Beer Thirty is the best beer bar in the area south of SF/Oakland and the outdoor area is killer. Wife and I often opted to hang out there instead of SARA; they keep their taplist up to date online as well.
