Glad you had a wonderful time. Where did you go? What did you try? I'd love to hear some specific thoughts on our good ol' PNW.

Glad you had a fun trip! Hope to catch up with you another time. I would also like a trip report: just a quick over view of where ya went, what ya did (especially non-beer stuff), what brews you liked, and (more importantly, IMHO), what beers ya didn't like. Cheers homez!

And my favorite brews were from Boneyard. Had Hop Venom & RPM.

We don't get a lot of East Coast and Midwest beers out here. No ulterior motive, they just don't distribute.

Of course I didn't believe you so I had to check. And you are correct [sigh]. As far as the larger/decent East Coast brewers, only Victory, So. Tier & Stillwater distribute to the PNW. I stand corrected/educated.

Dogfish Head is pretty prominent as well, and I think we also get some stuff from Flying Dog. Course I'm not sure either brewery qualifies as a decent East Coast brewery. :-)

I, personally, would love to see Troegs and Smuttynose around. You can get Brooklyn in BC, but not WA. And, it goes without saying, like every other state, I want some damn New Glarus!

No Flying Dog in WA, but I know that ID gets them. Idaho gets a lot of stuff we don't, actually.

Of all the East Coast breweries, it's Sixpoint that I'd love to get regularly.

well, to be fair, he did say "East Coast/Midwest" a bit farther back upthread. Still, since nobody gets NG, it's just a fantasy. A tasty, tasty fantasy.

Yes they do. But what I saw from DFH was a few here and there - nowhere near their entire product line. For example, 60 minute is every

You'll see 90 Minute in Safeway and the lineup of DFH in bottle shops, but it's not eveywhere.

We just started to get 60 Minute out here, actually. But yeah, it's not like the East coast. I remember seeing every little corner store adorned with signs advertising it.

But then we have tons of beers you don't get that we view as being just as common as you consider DFH.

I think I would happily take less of the current California beer lineup in Oregon, and more of the east coast/midwest lineup.

My brother brought me a nice New Glarus haul earlier this month when he flew in for my birthday. 5 Raspberry Tart, 3 Belgian Red, 2 Serendipity, and four-packs of Cran-bic and Oud Bruin. Now I can't wait for my visit to WI at Christmas so I can get even more of the New Glarus goodness!

Btw, the TSA opened both of his checked luggage and apparently didn't have a problem with all the beer.

I've flown many, many times with beer and TSA has checked my bags on a number of occasions and they've never had a problem with my beer.
