I'm planning on bouncing around several brewpubs in Denver next weekend, the backup plan to the canceling of the Weldwerks Invitational. I plan on hitting Cerebral, Black Project, OMF, Crooked Stave & Trve (I'm assuming that if Amalgam was open that weekend, it would have been posted by now). I have a couple of questions, if anyone can help. I'm vaccinated, but not looking for a breakthru case. Do these brewpubs have outdoor drinking areas (I know it's starting to get cold at night), If not, how are things going indoors. Are there any special beer events that weekend? I've only seen that Trve has some guest taps. Thanks
Cerebral and OMF have outdoor patios. Crooked Stave at least had a temporary outside setup (as of 2 weeks ago), but I dunno if it's still there. TRVE is entirely indoors, although they can open up the front area to let some light/air in. Black Project is entirely indoors as far as I know, but they might have something temporary in place. I haven't been there in a while. Things are mostly back to normal with indoor seating in the Denver metro area. There are mask mandates in some spots but I believe that was mostly in Boulder and Ft. Collins. As far as events go, I don't know about any more. TRVE is the main one on my personal radar since they're thematically a good choice, too. Lots of places will do at least something (like a special tapping) but I don't think most places want a shoulder-to-shoulder event yet.
Bumping an old thread looking for some quick Denver advice. I have a couple of hours to kill tomorrow afternoon coming from the airport before heading to Frisco. Ideally I would love to find one good spot to drink a good beer or two and have some lunch. It would be nice to be easy access on and off the highway, but not a dealbreaker if I have to go downtown. Doesn’t even have to be in Denver if you have a recommendation along the way that makes more sense. I’m not really in a huge hurry, I just don’t plan to linger too long. Can anyone local kindly point me in the right direction?
