I heard they only call back if you promise to bring the beers listed in your avatar to their bottle share.
Alright, I'll spill the...beer? At this time last year, I already had my room booked, as did many others. If you look on the website, you are unable to book a room for March or April in Munster. However, if you look at Hampton in other cities, you are able to book that far in advance. To me, this means they are not going to let you book online in advance this year. I'm certain this year they are going to call people. I don't know when, but I'd put my money on them waiting until shortly after mad ticket Saturday.
They're going to have to open March-April availability at some point for people that want to, you know, book hotels in March-April. DLD is one weekend. Either way, I booked a refundable room at the Hampton Hammond as a hedge.
I already had mine booked too. I think last year they said they blocked out the wrong weekend and it's was totally booked before they realized their mistake.
Excluding Munster, which I assume isn't an option at this point , is there a reason to prefer one hotel/city over another (besides usual stuff like distance/room quality)? Do any in Hammond/Schererville/Lansing/whatever run shuttles? I'll just take a shuttle from Chicago if I get tickets again, but I have a few out of town friends that could use advice on this.
I think this is the 4th or 5th time we've gone over this but....if you stayed at the Hampton this year you could fill out a form that was for both the Hampton and that new hotel behind them. Once DLD is officially announced they are going to call people in the order they turned in the forms(there were numbers on top). Once that all got settled they were going to open up the rooms to the public.
Thanks, did not know they waited til DLD was announced. Last year was 1st year I had a room at Hampton Inn.
I'd wager it's more a matter of announcing the event itself, not the date. It would be a poor business decision to pre-book hotel rooms for an event you assume is going to happen (despite the fact there's no reason to think it won't)
Hampton has officially blacked out the last weekend in April. Those of you who signed up for first dibs last year should get your phone call...at some point.
The hotel behind the Hampton is owned by Hilton just like Hampton. People who stayed at the Hampton last year are getting first shot at rooms at both hotels.
