When I'm hungover, I swear off drinking forever. And by "forever", I mean until the next day. Or maybe that night.

I want nothing to do with alcohol if I'm really hungover

In college when I first started drinking, I would wake up and be craving Hoegaarden...never really too sure why.

    Hangover beer=Lagunitas' Hairy Eyeball

Most hangovers though just require couple o' gallons of water, some watermelon, breakfast tacos, and migraine meds.

My go to hangover cure is McDonalds breakfast and a large powerade, it does the job.

I'm of the belief that what is essentially a mild "withdrawal" (or better, "rebound") is the biggest factor, and thus the same drugs that are given to curb cravings help the most (Baclofen, benzodiazepines like Ativan and Valium, etc.).

Something beefy that is filling and satisfies, like a deeply roasted stout.....say Sierra Nevada Stout.

Other than that the hang over is preventable with a good amount of water after drinking.

I hear you and do whatever works for you, but if you're going hard, why drink a water between each beer when you're concerned with peeing too much?! That makes me want to pee now just reading it. Drinking a Gatorade has never made me feel bloated or want to pee a lot. I usually just sleep through it. You can pee the bed too, but I haven't done that in a couple decades so I don't know how that would go........

It's true and I stand by it: I did not and have not had a hangover in 3 months since I've been a regular Gatorade drinker post drinking, before bed. And I drink a lot. A lot of good beer. A lot of high ABV-type beers. Including now. I work at 8am tomorrow (college kid) and have no doubt I will be fully ready to go! And I'm drunk-ish right now.

High enough abv to get the point across, otherwise hangover beer exacerbates the problem. But really, though. Water, sleep, and going for a run usually help me.
