How tough is it to get this brew? A co worker of mine asked if I could get this brew and to be honest, I'd never heard of it until she brought it up. All jokes aside, including the laugh fest I had at her expense, I'd like to help her out if I can. Thanks

Reasonably difficult to do, as I don't believe any of the brands named "Hansa Pilsner" are imported to the U.S. at present.

Whichever brand she is referring to, it can probably -technically- be ordered from overseas. Legal consideration ought be made (as this state doesn't allow shipments of beverage alcohol to individuals who don't possess an importer's license), but it can be done.

    Also:

Hansa from South Africa -- is she an Arsenal fan?

There are also Pils labels from these breweries named Hansa (and no, they are not related breweries):
Hansa (Germany): The brewery flagship DAB Export returned to the upper Midwest in 2009; I have not seen the Pils.
Hansa (Norway): Arrived in the local market over ten years ago, but will not return any time soon as the importer is defunct.

    Bon Courage!

I recall drinking Hansa everywhere in Norway when I was there maybe ten years ago. I snaked a couple of glasses from a crowded pub which I still have in my collection. IIRC there was nothing special about the beer.
