Will try to keep this interesting. What some of the places (Ale House, Kannah Creek..) are up to. What local bottle shops are receiving.

    Cheers!

I do manage to hit Kannah and/ or Old Chicago most times I'm in Juncton. Gotta hit Suds Brothers (?) sometime; I've hit the other in Fruita (as well as the original brewery there and the one that followed; the latter's name escapes me....

I've only been to a few places around here. I'm gonna go over to Fruita shortly, and some other places in the next few months, at least that is the plan.

    Cheers!

Haven't been to Palisade in eons. The original owners did a Picadelly Peach that the Mrs. loved. Of course, it was a one off. That's her luck. She finds something she loves and it's either a one off, the brewery quits making it, or the brewery closes....

Back in 2015 I met the Head Brew Master, a few of us did a vertical of Porter Of Love, very nice shit. They have a NEIPA that is pretty nice.

    Cheers!

Been checking on City Markets beer availability. Shelf's with no beer on them, but price labels are there. Some new labeled Eddyline on the floor, $12.99 a sixer, River Runner, Raspberry Wheat, Crank Yanker, maybe another in there. Where the rest of this stuff is, I have no idea, they did mention something about a licensing issue.

    Cheers!

It could be that a liquor store in the same complex filed an appeal and is attempting to slow down the transition to full strength beer for that particular City Markets. It appears that the same scenario is happening on the Front Range at various locations. It makes sense, if they have the means, that the adjacent liquor store would try and stop the “Big Guys” from cutting into their Beer Sales. I don’t think my local grocery store got full strength beer, due to the liquor store, literally two doors down, petitioned the City of Boulder to reject (or delay) their request. But, my local liquor store, up the street, does not have a competing grocery store in the same complex, so I haven’t been keeping up with all the comings and goings. @Wasatch you do not take me for a grocery store beer guy, I have/had you pinned for a small business guy.

Matter of fact there is a liquor store across the street. If the price is right, I might just by a sixer. Most of not all my money goes to local bottle shops.

    Cheers

Some pretty tasty Almanac brews are around. Palisade Brewery is going to have a high ABV stout, I think, coming out soon in cans, he showed me a pic, but I forgot. I'll keep checking.

The Zippity from Suds Brothers was tasty, was expecting more. Will have to checkout other's their doing.

    Cheers!

It's been a couple years since I've been in GJ and had the time to hit any bottle shops - what are the good stops these days? Fischer's by the mall was convenient, but the selection didn't seem that great. College Liquors on Patterson?

Fischer's is good, definitely check can/bottle dates at College Liquors. Andy's on 1st is really good, lots of good 4 and 6 packs available here, that no other shops have. Fun Junction is ok as well. Have not been there yet, but Handlebar is suppose to be pretty good, for on-tap brews.

    Cheers!

Crazy tap list at Ale House

    HF - Arthur
    Beachwood - Amalgamator
    American Solera - Magic Jar
    Hoof Hearted - Slo Turbo
    Lawson’s - SOS
    KBS

    Pretty solid

College Liquors is a shell of its former self. Shelf’s were empty.

Thanks for the heads up, have not been in the Ale House in quite a few months. Have not had Arthur, just might have to stop by. KBS would be nice to try on-tap. And the shit that is there, check dates. I did get 5 new brews or so from them earlier in the week, surprised me. I hear some good things about HandleBar, but have not been there yet.

    Cheers!
