Happenings in Casper (2019)

The Founders tasting went well.
I picked up KBS 4pack for $22.99, CBS bottle for $25.20, Breakfast Stout Howler for $7.00.
And as I was going to check out, I saw Bigfoot and Bigfoot Trip in the Woods Bourbon Barrel Vintage. I grabbed a bottle of the latter, $19.60. I looked around whilst paying and saw Spaten Pilsner. Yep. Next visit. One of my favourite German Pilsners...

 

A couple of corrections. The Spaten is the Premium Lager, the price for KBS is $22.50.

Upslope Lee Hill Series Vol 19 Batch 1000 is here..well, at 1 store. It's pretty amazing.

 

22 ounce bottles from Coal Creek TAP are in town. 5 styles and so far, only one has been what I would call good. QC seems to have been put to the wayside as every one has been lacking in carbonation including the good one. The others have been just plain bad.

Until then, it's the 9th annual Hope Hops and Harmony that will capture me tomorrow!

 

So, resurrecting beers of old has found its way to Wyoming. I hope that I get a chance to try it.

We even have the 5L party cans of Oberon!

 

Yellowstone Garage is having a tap takeover by Wichita Brewing! I'm a big fan of their beers.

As always, I am glad to pass on info of local beer news just in case someone travels through the area and doesn't know what the beer scene is like here.

First day at Craft Beer Week in Casper, Liquor Shed. Very nice Wyoming beers to sample. As I was heading down the aisle to pay for my haul, I saw several bottled beers from Altitude Chophouse in Laramie!

My first picks, the Anniversary Barleywine style Ale and their Wheat Wine.

 

Ha! I sit down at Wyoming Aleworks in Casper and I get greetings from brewers of Big Lost and Wichita. They even know me as Bitterbill. How cool!!

 

Harmony Hops and Hope is tomorrow and it's going to be raining and the high temperature is expected to be 43°. Sigh.
