I guess I am going to the Suds n' Spurs brewfest in Sheridan tomorrow.

 

Okay, I visited 3 of the new establishments in town.

Frontier Brewing Company and Taproom, currently serving guest beers. It's a pour your own system where dollars get uploaded to a card and you pour away. You see the price per ounce and there's a ticker that counts down on how much money is left on your card. I like it. Btw, their first brew will be out in a couple of weeks, a Golden Ale. Good choice given the popularity of Ten Sleep Speed Goat.

Gaslight Social. Nice vibes, impressive looking setup. 32 taps. Small but interesting food menu. First time in, I had a couple of Melvin beers and a burger with fries. Only glitch I had was they wanted to serve me a Heyzeus in a 10 ounce goblet because it was a high abv beer. I convinced them otherwise after a bit of back and forth banter.
I went there yesterday and ordered the burger again with a Melvin Dready Copper IPA. Got the goblet, no complaints from me, but this time the burger was on the dry side; I didn't say anything this time. The 3rd round, I will say something if the food turns out below par.
The thing that bothered me the most was that 8 of the 32 tap handles were tapped out. No standby kegs to hook up in case?
The place has plenty of potential so hiccups in their second week since opening, I will forgive.

Going to the last brewfest of the year in town today.

 

16 ounce Howlers in town! I picked up 1 each of The Abyss 2016 and New Belgium Blackberry Barleywine. Growler =64 ounces, Howler =32 ounces, ?=16 ounces.

Old Chicago has a couple of Mishap! beers on draught. The London Porter is so good. Reminds me of the Fullers.
