There used to be a brewery in Port Washington, WI called Harbor City. If I recall correctly, the owner's name was Jim. I helped him pour beer at a few brew fests. Anyways, he brewed for a few years and then closed his operations down and I thought he mentioned something about re-opening another brewery with his brother. Does anyone know where he landed? He made damn good beer!

They used to make really good root beer. Used to work for a distributor in Milwaukee and I would drive a van there to pick the stuff up. Nice guy.

Interesting - thanks. Maybe, I'll reach out to him and see if he ever makes any small batches. I really loved his Mile Rock Amber.

Looks like all their beer was brewed at Sand Creek.

I'm pretty sure he actually brewed in Port - I was there a few times.

I found this write up - didn't realize that he worked with NB...He probably told me that, but this was all a looong time ago and maaaany beers ago:

    About the Brewery

The Harbor City Brewing Company, located in Port Washington, Wisconsin, was established in 1996 in a former ice cube / block production plant. To help convert this former ice palace into a quality-conscious microbrewery, Harbor City worked closely with the New Belgium Brewing Company of Ft. Collins, CO. Yep, the same folks responsible for Fat Tire Amber Ale.

In less than six months they had a fully functional, highly controlled brewing facility with a 20-barrel brewhouse and four 40-barrel fermentation vessels. Harbor City’s brewer Jim Schueller, along with the help of New Belgium’s owner Jeff Lebesch, collaborated on the recipes that would become the basis for their five-beer lineup.

Or the brewhouse in Port went under very quickly. There are some entries that appear to be brewed at Harbor City.
