Hardest Beer to Find

    what was the one beer you waited the longest to find or try

    The one beer that felt like it took the most Herculean effort was Darkness, drove five hours from Iowa, waited in line over night in the freezing cold, finally getting a plastic cup's worth pour once the event began. Worth it. Oh so worth it.

    For me I think it was trying Dogfish Head for the first time Indian Brown Ale and 90min IPA Most recently was Avery Brewing's Rumpkin

    Double Sunshine...I've had it on draft several times but I've never seen a bottle of it.

    Southern Tier Pumpking
    Goose Island Bourbon County Stout
    Founders KBS
    Founders Breakfast Stout

    GI variants and been wanting to try Younger since 2007. Being in Canada doesn't make it any easier to try it.

    Here in Quebec, almost no U.S. micros available although we recently started receiving Sofie and Matilda. Before that, all we had was Shipyard IPA and Boston Lager. I am pretty darn close to VT though so...:wink:

    Oddly, I waited longer for a Backwoods Bastard than I did for a Westy 12. Seemed I missed it every season on trips to the US. I still want the GI variants.

    for me it's been lawson's, specifically double sunshine. I've tried to trade for it numerous time and gotten crickets. aside from younger its the only top ten beer I haven't had.

    Knocked off the Double Sunshine last month, got one of the last bottles at the store but limit was one per. I'm at 5 out of Top 10. The Double Sunshine will actually be on tap here in Montreal next week if you want to make the trip :wink:

    Currently, it's Hopslam! Called 5 stores last night, and no one has them. Local shop said maybe Friday....so I'll play the waiting game....

    I'd love to, my daughter has never seen snow! however, my wife is 32 weeks pregnant so no traveling for us!
