Sorry to be posting everywhere recently, but I'm looking to maybe pick up a bottle or two from the newest release tomorrow, and I'm curious if there's usually a line for these things or not. On a tight schedule meeting the girlfriend's parents and all, so I can't justify standing in long lines at the brewery. I'm curious if it's easier to get a bottle at a shop once it hits distro on Wednesday or if there will be a minimal line tomorrow. Thanks!

There are only like 50 cases going out to distro, so that may not be the easiest, that being said shamrock the block is going on right around the corner from the brewery. (40,000 drinking people). Soooo brewery could be a shit show today aswell.

How is the beer? I'll be in Richmond this coming weekend, thinking about stopping by the brewery for a bottle if they still have any.

Do you know how many cases of the BBA Sidamo went out?

Just trying to get an idea of how quick the Barleywine might go. I went to Richmond a week after Sidamo came out and there was plenty of both versions still around. Ill be back in town this weekend and hope to get a few BWs.

I picked up 3 bottles on Saturday. Around 2 it wasn't crowded at all, but started packing in by around 3. Found it very hoppy (like fresh Doggie Claws) and fairly hot. The bourbon mostly came through as solid vanilla. I think a little time to cool down will do it well, but Hardywood does have crazy tap-bottle variation. For my money, the still-available Raspberry Stout was just so much better. Cheaper, too.

Yeah I didn't get any GBS this year but the Raspberry Stout was great, definitely the best I've had by them in a while. I keep meaning to pick up a couple more bottles before its gone. Thankfully (for me) people don't seem to know how good it is. I'm kind of sick of bourbon barrel beers too. I'll still get one if they aren't out but I won't sweat it.

There were hundreds of cases of BA Sidamo that went out.

I know Bourbon Sidamo hit distribution but I never saw any in my shops, I had to go to the brewery.
granted, the east-end where I live is a desert for craft beer bottles... luckily the brewery is only 10 mins away.

BB Sidamo is still on shelves here in Northern Virginia. I think the regular Sidamo is a better beer.
