Those BA's in RVA probably have heard about this. But Hardywood will be releasing 6 packs for the first time ever, offering Capital Trail Pale Ale in cans on 5/10/13. Some proceeds from the initial release will go to benefit the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation. Looking forward to the newest brew from the people on Ownby, link below has more info. Cheers http://www.hardywood.com/content/capital-trail-pale-ale-release
they had the Irish Stout on Nitro then, it was on the warehouse bar side. the Captial Trail PA was on cask last weekend and the Cream Ale comes out this weekend
This is great and all, and I love Hardywood....but does anyone know when they might actually do some distributing of these beers to say the Hampton Roads area of Virginia?
I know they dont make it to Charlottesville either but that they would soon. Maybe something is in the works for heading East too.
yeah, I think I've heard of C'ville and/or Fredericsburg areas being the first waves of distribution expansion
They are transitioning from leasing their current space to moving into the larger facility they purchased directly across the street from their current location. Their target is to have the move and new operation running at full capacity by the end of this year, with production being doubled thanks to the move, so whenever the new fermenters are churning out brews is when other areas can get their hopes up. For now, the canning their doing is through a Old Dominion Mobile Canning, a local Richmond company that is canning their capital ale and COTU's Ray Ray's and Main St. No Pocahoptus, sad day.
first I've heard of a move. I've always heard they were gonna run both buildings, with the new site being offices, storage and experimental site
First ive heard of this too. I know they purchsed the building next door, but have heard nothing about directly across the street. Seems counterproductive to move all that equipment across the street.
They don't own the current facility, they lease it. They're not leaving everything behind, but are downsizing with other vendors moving in as well.
It wasnt on when I was there. They had the cream ale on Nitro, but the nitro tap was screwed up until after we left.
The pale ale will not be making it to the market, will be used for Hardywood events only. The cream ale will be going to the market tho...
